Chemical Weapons

Chemical Weapons are chemicals used to cause intentional death or harm through their toxic properties. Munitions, devises and other equipment specifically designed to weaponise toxic chemicals also fall under the definition of chemical weapons. They are prohibited through the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention and implemented through the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (the OPCW).
